Who We Are
Welcome to Pokemon Tales! Our website address is: https://pokemontales.org. We are committed to protecting your privacy and data security when using our services and browsing our site.
Comments
When visitors leave comments, we collect the data shown in the comment form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help prevent spam.
An anonymized string created from your email address (called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you’re using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available at https://automattic.com/privacy/. Once your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible next to your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the website, avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS), as other visitors may download and extract location info from them.
Cookies
If you leave a comment, you may opt-in to saving your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These cookies will last for one year.
Visiting our login page sets a temporary cookie to check your browser’s cookie support — it contains no personal data and is deleted when the browser is closed.
When you log in, we’ll set cookies to save login info and screen display preferences. Login cookies last two days; screen option cookies last a year. Selecting “Remember Me” keeps you logged in for two weeks. Logging out removes login cookies.
If you edit or publish an article, an extra cookie will be saved — it contains no personal data and only records the post ID of the article. It expires after one day.
Embedded Content from Other Websites
Articles and product pages may include embedded content (e.g., videos, reviews, or images). These behave as if you visited the third-party website directly, which may collect data, use cookies, or track interactions.
Who We Share Your Data With
If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email to help verify your identity.
How Long We Retain Your Data
Comments and their metadata are retained indefinitely so we can recognize and auto-approve any follow-up comments.
Registered users’ personal data is stored in their user profiles. Users can view, edit, or delete their data (except usernames). Website administrators can also manage this data.
Your Rights Over Your Data
If you have an account or have left comments, you can request an exported file of your personal data or request its deletion — excluding data we must retain for legal or security reasons.
Where Your Data Is Sent
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
